SA RAPITA – CALA FIGUERA

The excursion starts from Club Nautic Sa Rapita. First, we cruise south then east towards Cala Figuera. This is a longer trip because it actually counts for two trips. We pass the villages of Colònia de Sant Jordi, Ses Salines, Cala Mármols, Cala Llombards and Cala Santanyi, where we’ll have a stopover. The captain explains the fascinating history of the region and Mallorca in general. There are several possibilities to anchor, for example the beautiful and quiet Cala Figuereta. Here a refreshing swim and / or snorkelling is recommended. We thought of everything, such as snorkelling equipment and life jackets for the children among us. Here you also have time for a snack and a free cold drink.

Route Excursion: A nature experience to Cala Figuera for maximum 12 people

  • Snorkeling gear is on board

Route description excursion Cala Figuera

Let’s take a look at the trip to Cala Figuera.

We leave the port of Sa Rapita southeast, where we first pass the long beach Es Trenc and then later Colonia Sant Jordi and Es Carbó, Cala Tugores and Es Caragol.
We reach Cap de Ses Salines, where the Lighthouse of Ses Salines is located at its headland.
This section is very beautiful and one of my favourite regions in Mallorca because of the blue glowing colours of the water. We continue and pass the Torrent d’en Barragot and Olla de Bastons. They are beautiful bays and beaches which belong to a tip of two torrents, it is a place where the rainwater flows together to find its way into the sea. Here we take an anchor break for swimming and snorkelling.
Unfortunately, we cannot do this trip very often. The reason is because of the wind when it comes from the east. The sea is then too rough and unpleasant or even dangerous.

When the wind comes from the west, the sea is calm there and we can admire the sheer power of nature. After Cala Marmols and Cala Figuereta we’ll cruise about 3 nautical miles further along the beautiful cliffs through beautiful blue water and reach Cala s’Almunia and Cala des Moro. This is a fantastic anchoring spot for a swimming break.
The entire coast has many different names; these names have developed over time, especially through fishing.
After a refreshing break, we pass Caló d’en Ferrá before reaching the village of Es Llombards.
The structure of sandstone (mares) and the rough sea is a perfect combination for the creation of white sand beaches and also a attraction for beach lovers.
On this excursion we will come along the coves of Cala Llombards and Cala Santanyi.
This brings us to the picturesque and beautiful harbour of the charming fishing village of Cala Figuera.
For the return trip we set course southwest.
